Some people say that a real actor is born in the theatre. (Eugenio was born in a taxi while his mother struggled to arrive to the Metropolitan theatre!)

During his career Eugenio has starred in more than ten plays, among which are Ninnete y un Señor de Murcia, Sálvese quien pueda and Opción Múltiple, which entitled him to the Best Comedy Actor Award in Mexico.

One of Eugenio’s greatest challenges was his appearance in the play Latinologues, spoken entirely in English. The play was directed by Cheech Martin who gave him the opportunity to tour across the U.S. and then finish the season at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway, New York.

In his most recent appearance on stage, Eugenio was praised by the Theatre Journalist Association and the Mexican Association of Theatre Critics and Journalists. He was awarded with the Best Actor in Musical-Comedy Theatre Award, for the Broadway play Una Eva y dos Patanes.

  • His primary school Nativity Scene (Pastorela), where he played the role of Tree # 2.
    The school’s Mother's Day festival where he skillfully played his first leading role as Jack in “Jack and the beanstalk”.
